What a year 2019 has been at PayWhirl! We just wanted to wish you a happy holiday season and say thank you for being part of our PayWhirl family. It was a productive year for our team, and we thought we would highlight some of the new features and tools we released for businesses using the platform this past year.

- Added the ability to select which events are sent via webhooks
- Added the ability to use promo codes with gift code balances
- Updated all email templates and added a new style
- Released a major API update & developer docs update
- Upgraded the tables in the backend admin views of PayWhirl
- Added the ability to apply promo code to new subscriptions
- Added bulk actions for various tasks, including creating invoices in bulk, subscribing customers, adding/removing promo codes, delete customers, etc.
- Added the ability to import tax rules and delete in bulk
- Added the ability to disable Shopify account creation emails
- Added and upgraded activity logs in various admin views
- Added a new report for churn in the system
- Released a new PayWhirl API endpoint to mark invoices as being paid
- Improved Stripe Radar functionality and the hold/release processes of funds
- Added the ability to edit invoice templates
- Improved Shopify customer tagging
- Released new setup guides and revised our documentation
- Added the ability to edit addresses directly from the invoice view
- Added a new UI for admins to support customers with multiple profiles/addresses

- Added additional CSS classes throughout the customer portal and widgets to make customization easier
- Added additional language translations & phrases
- Added the ability to create upsells that can be added to any plan
- Added the ability to remove customers from a specific BigCommerce group when they cancel
- Released a new PayWhirl API endpoint to delete customers
- Improved the metadata sent to Stripe on transactions
- Upgraded the Stripe gateway to the use the latest payment intents API
- Improved Shopify error reporting on invoice activity logs
- Added ReCaptcha support for widgets and customer registration
- Added dunning types to reports (canceled by the system, customer, admin, etc.)
- Released a new PayWhirl API endpoint to add/remove promo codes
- Upgraded gateways to support Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)
- Released custom favicon support (yay)
- Improved autoscrolling on embedded widgets
- Added support to set the default order status (pending, awaiting fulfillment, etc.) for orders placed in BigCommerce
- Added the ability to override emails for specific plans and the ability to use custom email templates on a plan by plan basis
- Added the ability to forward widgets with a single item directly to the cart
- Added the ability to import legacy/paid invoices with the API
- Added the ability to enable/disable checkouts on a state by state (or province) basis
What we’re working on for 2020
